For those of you who don’t know, LuLaRoe is an online clothing company that sells predominantly women’s clothing as well as limited styles for men and children through individual fashion consultants on social media platforms. LuLaRoe is known for their buttery soft leggings, bright patterns, and limited amount of pieces in a certain print (sometimes called a “unicorn” print). Here is one of my unicorn prints that was SO HARD TO FIND – paw prints:

I screamed when I opened the package, and I definitely got some strange looks from people questioning my sanity in the post office 😂.

LuLaRoe was introduced to me by a fellow Disney coworker and LuLaRoe Independent Fashion Consultant around the time I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I had seen her LuLaRoe sales online and was very skeptical about the $25 buttery soft leggings. First, that is a bit pricey. Second, are they seriously buttery soft?! I also am not bold enough in my fashion choices to rock such bright, bold patterns. Luckily, there were some patterns and colors more my speed, which was obvious by my first pair of LuLaRoe leggings. My first pair of leggings were a solid, dark grey. Yes, they were indeed buttery soft and worth the price! I was hooked.

When I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I was NO LONGER comfortable wearing normal clothes because they felt tight and constricting since I’m in pain head to toe. I found myself wearing baggy T-shirts and baggy sweatpants. I was in pain AND felt like an unattractive tent with my figure hidden under baggy clothes. Well – I was comfortable and that’s all that mattered at that point. LuLaRoe changed that!! I could be CUTE and COMFORTABLE. Outfits were easy to put together. AND it forced me to be a bit bolder in my fashion choices.

Soon my “normal clothes” were put in a wardrobe outside and my LuLaRoe clothes became my new wardrobe. This is just one of the many changes I had to make to adapt to life with fibromyalgia.

Just having my own little fashion show in the exam room at Urgent Care.

I will share in a later post about my journey to becoming a LuLaRoe Independent Fashion Consultant, my time as a Fashion Consultant including attending a LuLaRoe Convention complete with a surprise Katy Perry concert, and why I am no longer a LuLaRoe Fashion Consultant.

I am still a consumer of LuLaRoe, even though I do not agree with some of the situations happening within or connected to the company.

If you have any questions regarding the clothing, especially if you suffer from a chronic illness, please contact me.
