I have a confession to make… I am not a good cook. I am a girl who gets take out instead of cooking, BUT I am slowly trying to change that. I want to become more proficient in the kitchen and eat healthier. I am trying to find delicious, quality, easy-to-make meals, but that is a tall order.
The meal that I cook the most is thinly sliced chicken breast in the oven, and then make it into chicken tacos. I put the chicken breast filets onto a baking sheet covered with tinfoil. I season the chicken and drizzle on either Italian dressing or BBQ sauce for flavor. I cook it in the oven for 400 degrees for approximately 25 minutes. I always check the temperature to ensure that it is cooked to the proper temperature before consumption. I warm up the flour tortillas on the skillet on the stove. Then, I put my chicken, cheese, and mild taco sauce into the tortillas. I will be honest…I had to overcome my apprehension about cooking chicken. I didn’t want to accidentally make either myself or my family sick. I am proud to report that I have cooked this meal many times with no issues.
I have been trying to find the easiest and tastiest way to cook boneless salmon at home. After several mediocre attempts, I have FINALLY found exactly what I was looking for. Here are pictures and then I will explain:

Here is the pictures of exactly what I was looking for:
I visited the butcher’s counter at Ralph’s supermarket. I told the butcher the two pieces of fish that I wanted. Then, I proceeded to tell him that I wanted to do the “Easy For You” option that was advertised.
They put each piece of fish in an oven bag.
You choose the seasoning for the fish from the 4 options available.
You have the choice if you want butter, lemon, and rosemary put in the oven bag with the fish.
We chose the lemon pepper for the seasoning. We had them put the butter, lemon, and rosemary in the bag with the fish.
The butcher sealed up the bag and handed it to us.
The oven bag has all of the easy to follow instructions that you need to cook your meal, including temperature and cooking time. We only had to preheat the oven, poke a few small holes in the oven bag and then put the entire oven bag in the oven. After the allotted cooking time based on weight of the fish and the type of oven, you pull it out of the oven, cut open the bag, and use a spatula to put the fish on the plate. Then, serve with your favorite side.
This was SUCH AN EASY MEAL TO COOK and SOOOOOO DELICIOUS!!!!!!! I can’t say enough good things about this meal. My boyfriend and I basically licked our plates clean. I look forward to eating this meal again. Oh, its also affordable!!!
Has anyone else tried this?
